Reach2Teach
Designated Teachers now have access to the Reach2Teach app, one of two powerful needs analysis tools provided by Hampshire Virtual School. Alongside the PEP Toolkit, both tools are designed to support effective planning and personalised learning for children who have experienced trauma or adversity.
The Reach2Teach app, developed by Course We Do publishers, is a web-based tool designed to support educators and professionals working with children and adolescents, particularly in managing challenging behaviours through an Attachment Aware and Trauma Informed approach. The app is a web-based tool that includes 40 common behaviours observed in educational settings and offers over 450 practical strategies to address them. It helps users understand the underlying needs and potential attachment patterns driving each behaviour. All strategies are built on fostering strong, supportive relationships with pupils. The app is grounded in research, including the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) study.
Hampshire Virtual School offers funded access to the Reach2Teach app for all Hampshire Designated Teachers. You can access this through the online PEP. If you do not have access to the online PEP, and would like to use the app for Previously Looked After Children, Children with a Social Worker and children in kinship care, contact the Virtual School team on virtualschool@hants.gov.uk
If you would like more information on how to use or get started with Reach2Teach, please contact the extended duties team on VSExtendedDuties@hants.gov.uk
