Deputy Headteacher Michelle Holdsworth shares how recognising the increasing
number of children and families in their school community who had experienced
trauma and/or childhood ACEs led to the school re-examining and changing their
approach to teaching and learning and behaviour and sanctions, and the
implementation of relational practice across the setting. Michelle details
Great Binfields' journey over the last three years and provides ideas and examples
of strategies that may be useful for other settings looking to develop
relational practice.
